Bob Pop, Carla Antonelli and Tazarte star in a literary meeting as part of the Love Festival

They are nationally, internationally and regionally recognised voices within the LGTBIQ+ community.

Three prominent and recognised voices within the LGTBIQ+ collective, recognised at international, national and regional level, such as Carla Antonelli, Bob Pop and Tazarte, will star in a literary meeting as part of the activities of the social agenda of the Isla Bonita Love Festival. The event will take place on Tuesday 23 July at 16:30 in the Casa de la Cultura in Los Llanos de Aridane.

The CEO of Sodepal, Miriam Perestelo, stresses the importance for the values promoted by the Live Festival, to have the involvement of these people who have a great recognition within the struggle for the freedom of the people of the group and the vindication of their rights.

Carla Antonelli is currently a senator. Born in Güímar, she became the first transsexual person to hold public office in Spain and from the beginning has been an important activist for the rights of transsexuals.

Bob Pop, originally from Madrid, is a well-known writer, fashion expert and contributor to several television programmes who has been sarcastically defending the rights of LGTBIQ+ people for years. He arrived on the island last Saturday to promote the island’s attractions.

For his part, Tazarte is a multifaceted artist from Gran Canaria who has gained notoriety on social networks, where he has more than 2 million people in his community, through his videos in which he creatively shows his day-to-day life as a member of the collective. Tazarte is already on the island and will participate in various actions of the Love Festival programme.

On the same day, at 18:30, the Conference for the Prevention of Hate Crimes against the LGBTIQ+ Collective, given by the Guardia Civil, will take place in the Casa de la Cultura, Los Llanos de Aridane.
