1.- ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY:

Since 2018, we have put all our efforts into reducing, compensating, or eliminating the negative impacts generated by this macro festival. Year after year, we increase environmental measures for continuous improvement.

Our commitment is evident throughout the event, highlighting: 1.1. The exclusive “LOVE FESTIVAL” WASTE MANAGEMENT PLAN DEMONSTRATING THE TRACEABILITY OF ALL OUR WASTE.

We take full responsibility for the proper management of waste, and therefore we have:

• Reusable cups and other containers to reduce plastic consumption.
• Compostable tableware in the staff food area.
• Selective separation containers distributed throughout the venue so you can always dispose of your waste in the appropriate place.
• Specific “RSR” team for selective waste collection at the event. Several crews within the Festival oversee the management of the containers and selective collection, and aware personnel to implement all the Sustainability measures of the Isla Bonita LOVE Festival.
• Use of compostable confetti.
• Authorized managers for the separate transport of all our waste. Each waste fraction has a different truck for its transfer to recycling and composting plants.

1.2. CLIMATE ACTIONS.

We are aware that all local actions can contribute to the fight against global Climate Change, and therefore, we offer:

• Sustainable Mobility to reduce the carbon footprint and travel with peace of mind using the wide range of exclusive round-trip bus routes for the Isla Bonita LOVE Festival.

On our part, thanks to our sponsor, we will have low-consumption or hybrid efficient vehicles for the transportation of artists and Organization staff. We aim to reduce our carbon footprint until we become a carbon-neutral event.

1.3. MANAGEMENT OF EVENT WASTEWATER.

• All wastewater from chemical toilets will receive proper treatment to avoid environmental contamination.

1.4. WATER AND ENERGY SAVING.

• We take all necessary measures to save resources and be more efficient.
• Our power generators are state-of-the-art, with technology that reduces the number of units and fuel consumption.

1.5. RESPONSIBLE CONSUMPTION and consumption of local products.

• In the gastro area, you will find a variety of foods.
• Our contracting clauses include environmental conditions.

1.6. ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS.

• We want to contribute to the environmental awareness of the entire work team and all stakeholders. Involvement, respect, and solidarity are fundamental pillars of Sustainability.

SOCIAL SUSTAINABILITY:

Isla Bonita LOVE Festival is a benchmark as a real space of equality, tolerance, diversity, and respect, promoting social cohesion and inclusion with the goal of “LEAVING NO ONE BEHIND” within the values of the 2030 Agenda, and therefore:

• The SOCIAL AGENDA of the Isla Bonita LOVE Festival, prior to the concert, manages to provide measures and legal knowledge that highlight the need for inclusive justice for all people at all levels.
• We promote the health and well-being of all people, without distinction.
• In terms of safety, it is designed to be a safe and comfortable place for both staff and the general public. Within the concert venue, we want to prevent gender violence with professionals at our Violeta Point.
• All people with different abilities can enjoy the festival with sign language interpretation, parking, and PMR areas, etc.
• Our raison d’être is education and awareness to achieve a fair and respectful society with diversity.
• SODEPAL, as the promoter of the event, has the support of municipalities, sponsors, associations, and NGOs that drive collective participation and the best possible development of the event.

We understand and share that Culture, in all its forms, is a key dimension that can reach all citizens and achieve significant cross-cutting changes for Sustainable Development.
