Influencer Tazarte: ‘Don’t hold on to fear, hold on to freedom’.

Influencer, singer and dancer Tazarte has stopped by the set of LOVE TV, the exclusive content channel of the Isla Bonita Love Festival, to tell how his life changed after stepping into his heels and using his image to express himself: ‘As much as I received more negative comments than ever, I felt better and that made no comment matter so much. When you know it, everything else doesn’t matter.

On criticism, the influencer acknowledges that ‘I always hold on to the fact that behind anything that might be upsetting someone to the point of hurting others, there really is a caring person’. In fact, he does not consider these people as enemies, but as ‘enemies of themselves. That makes me go out on the street a lot safer’.

Tazarte is moved to reflect on what was the key moment that made him launch his search for his style and forms of expression: ‘It was much easier for me to start doing it when I realised that I was in good company, when I realised that I had a person by my side who would support me unconditionally’.

The artist stresses the need for young people to have role models in their environment and tells an anecdote in which he recalls that in his village there was a gay boy. ‘He was the gay boy in the village and he always walked with his head held high. I have never told him this, and he probably doesn’t even know that he was a point of reference for a kid like me’, he says.

For this reason, he gives advice to all those who can identify with him, and that is that ‘they should not cling to fear’, but to love, freedom and ‘the beautiful things around them’.
